There is a large, grassy park (Washington Square) in the center of the neighborhood which provides a focal point to enjoy the day. Next to the park sits a beautiful and historical church. Don't miss City Lights bookstore on Columbus Avenue, a world famous bookstore frequented by the "beat generation."

Washington Square

North Beach is a romantic, Italian stop for a great day or night. Check out Cafe Trieste for coffee or any of the other great Italian cafe's to lounge and sip a latte. Most restaurants are on Columbus Street with an easy walk to views of the Pyramid. For a quick burger, try out the fun & historic Clown Alley. You can also combine a one-half day (total for both) walking tour of Chinatown & North Beach.
