Casa Arguello

Safe and Quiet - Unique Shopping Nearby

San Francisco Bed and Breakfast

Built in the 1920's, Casa Arguello is a five room bed and breakfast with a true feel of living in a San Francisco flat. The friendly and helpful family of proprietors are located in San Francisco's prestigious Presidio Heights neighborhood.

A nearby shopping area has many cafe's, bakeries, gift, florists, and antique shops. Located about 20 minutes from the city center, this bed and breakfast is outside of the crowded and busy downtown. The bed and breakfast is well served by several bus lines and parking is easy in the area with a rental car. By staying out of the downtown central area, you see San Francisco neighborhood life as it really is. The B&B is also very convenient to the huge Golden Gate Park.

Shannon writes, "I stayed in The Red Victorian B&B this past May while I was in San Francisco and found it to be absolutely delightful. The rooms were very clean and well kept, and each had themes related to SF. Enough of them had their own baths that I didn't have any trouble getting into the shared baths except when the friend I was traveling with wanted it first. A lovely breakfast was provided, it was only a block or so from Golden Gate Park, and I didn't see rates much lower anywhere in the city. Sami Sunchild is a charming hostess, and I would wholeheartedly recommend the Red Vic to anyone travelling to the area. "

G.C. writes, "We went to the Archbishops B&B.   It is a delightful older mansion, across from Alamo Square, that has great architecture. We stayed in the Gypsy Baron room, which is really nice. Bathrooms updated, but 2 person tub to soak in. It has a great fireplace, very nice bed and gave us much needed tranquility. The continental breakfast had great juice and scones, and was delivered to our door. Parking could be a problem, but with today's economy I doubt it will be. They have video library, which worked for us. The room was very spacious. It is one of the more expensive ones though.

I would highly recommend it for a quiet get away. It is comparable or a bit less than some of the nicer hotels. I looked quite a bit before I chose this place. It is highly recommended, though off the beaten path. the views of the city and park are nice as are the painted ladies nearby."
