Montesacro, focuses on the ancient Roman pinsa, a delicious flatbread similar to pizza. 54 Mint partner Gianluca Legrottaglie opened Montesacro in tribute to his hometown of Rome: the walls are lined with vintage photography of the Italian capital and the space is centered by a massive, antique bread oven built into the space roughly 100 years ago when it was a bakery. Described as "Rome meets 1920's jazz bar", Montesacro is located on the Civic Center-SOMA border, just down the street from Union Square, the Moscone Center, the Financial District, and the hub of many of SF’s tech companies.
