A pouplar restaurant concept in S.F. is Far Eastern Bethelnut on Union Street in Pacific Heights.

A very upscale and delicious Chinese restaurant with a great bar too. Don't go at a busy time or be ready to wait a loooonng time. This is the place to go (this week). Dinners run about $25 per person plus drinks. Dishes are served family style (tapas) with small plates brought out as the food is completed. The atmosphere is bustling with an active bar scene. The decor is to simulate a true Asian restaurant in a tropical area. A bit overblown, but worth trying on your visit to S.F. Andy's rating is a "B+" with points off for pretentiousness.
