"first date", when you want everything to go right. Maharani's new
chef Khushrow Mistry weaves magic with colors, aromas and tingling
taste sensations, unlike the bland American-Continental cuisine, which
leaves one empty at heart after the meal. The beaded cushioned alcoves
are from an era gone by, you sit in daze and get completely mesmerized
as course after course descends on the table. While the time stands
still, the moment becomes an eternity. Be sure to make reservations for
the Fantasy Room as it fills up way ahead of the time especially on
weekends. The owner of the restaurant is a published poet, palmist and
