Vesuvio is the coolest & most romantic North Beach cafe/bar. An old time atmosphere favored by the Beat Generation in the 1960's and right next door to SF's best bookstore (City Lights). They serve drinks when they feel like it and a lot more alcohol than coffee drinks. There is no food served however, just drinks.
Slide shows of old time postcards are shown regularly. This place is historical, cool, and fun.
