A good low price / takeout restaurant in S.F. is World Wrapps. World Wrapp's is located at Market & Church Street in the Castro
District.
Talk about a rags to riches story... Once the hottest take-out in San Francisco, World Wrapp's has shrunk down from 3+ San Francisco
locations down to only one. World Wrapp's was the hottest take-out restaurant in SF for their innovative gourmet burrito's. They'll make them with everything
from Thai Chicken to Red Snapper. World Wrapp's has already expanded to similar yuppie hideouts like Palo Alto and Seattle. World Wrapps is worth a trip for
around $7 per person, but a little overrated.
The menu includes gourmet wrapps, vegeterian wrapps, fat-free wrapps, and mexican wrapps. WW also serves smoothies. All of the food is
made fresh from scratch. Some of the best wrapps include the most original ones like thai chicken, summer barbecue, spicy shrimp, and mango snapper. Other
treats includ carribean jerk pork, teriyaki chicken, pesto chicken, and salmon.
My favorite, the thai chicken, includes grilled chicken, jasmine rice, ginger slaw, cucumber, red onion, and peanut sauce in a spinach
tortilla. The wrapps are always in special tortilla's, not the common Mexican ones. All of these wrapps are priced at around $6. The most popular smoothie -
strawberry orange banana - includes strawberries, banana, orange, apple juice, and orange sherbert for $3.25 for a large.
In summary, I highly recommend World Wrapps. Andy's rating is "A-" for great food but a lack of seating and very long lines at
lunch-time.
