Hotel Kabuki (formerly Miyako)

Japantown - San Francisco

Asian style located near Japantown in a busy neighborhood near many unique Japanese shops.

J. writes, "We were very lucky to have gotten the Executive Suite room, which was both a traditional and Japanese style. It was a very unique and memorable experience, with the tatimati mats and shogi screens, sand, bamboo and stone figures, well stocked honor bars...not to mention the deep tub, European toilet (that washes your bottom for you!). The service is very helpful and accommodating, the rooms spotless and the noise level pretty low despite the location. I was able to look at the other rooms that they have. The normal Western rooms are tastefully decorated...but nothing out of the ordinary. If you can afford it, for a single special night, I highly recommend getting the "Executive Traditional Suite". There's only two so good luck!"

While hotel prices fluctuate rapidly -- for 2008 -- prices quoted ranged from $160-$225 with a median price quote of $200.
