Hyatt Fisherman's Wharf

San Francisco - Fisherman's Wharf Hotel Review

555 North Point Street - San Francisco CA - 94133

The Hyatt at Fisherman's Wharf features 313 guest rooms - all with the Hyatt's exquisite new "Grand" beds with pillow-top mattresses. The hotel's services include a pool, jacuzzi, and 24 hour fitness center. Cable cars stop right outside the hotel and Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the Hyatt Fisherman's Wharf for approximately $10 per day. Complimentary transportation to the Financial District is also available. There's a cool sports bar in the hotel called Knuckles, that even San Francisco locals sometimes frequent. Parking is with the hotel's valets at approximately $36 per day (this is a very busy area for parking due to its popularity). The rooms include an awesome flat screen TV to kick back after a long day of touristing around San Francisco.

Book and Reserve Hyatt Fisherman's Wharf

As a centrally located Fisherman's Wharf hotel, the Hyatt is convenient to all of the popular wharf attractions including Pier 39, Alcatraz ferries, Bay Cruises, Ghiradelli Square chocolate factory, and the aquarium. The Hyatt Fisherman's Wharf is also very convenient to North Beach's Italian section and Chinatown.

The Hyatt's location is superb and travelers rave about the convenience to countless top San Francisco attractions and seafood restaurants / cafe's within easy walking distance. It's especially great for kids / families who love the Fisherman's Wharf world-famous shopping and waterfront attractions. Past visitors report very clean rooms and friendly / professional service.

Five years ago we visited San Francisco and stayed at the Sheraton (Great Hotel). During that stay we enjoyed the Hyatt restaurant. This time I decided to stay at the Hyatt. It seems in five years things have changed a lot. Quality and overall attitude have taken a nose dive at their restaurant. On Saturday we learned why. Union bull horns screaming semi coherent slogans 7am bright and early. We learned later they have been showing up unexpectedly for over a month and nothing appeared to be quelling their effort.
The Hotel:
Refurbished old hotel.
Bed comfortable (KING pillow top).
Pillows resemble postage stamps.
; flat screen /w internet access USELESS.
NO RJ45/DSL/ or wireless. $7.95,15min in lobby.
Housekeeping reasonably clean and courteous.
Coffee maker provided if you choose to use the $5.00 per liter water to make it.
Laundry / Ironing / On vacation? Really?
In room safe.
ONE terry robe, price unknown.
Hollywood Cafe across street for breakfast and lunch!
