This discount hotel at Mason & Beach includes free parking - a scarce commodity at the Wharf. Don't expect incredible style -- just
a cheap price on the Wharf. Typical rates are around $130.

June 2006 my husband and I stayed at the Wharf
Inn, San Francisco. Compared to prices at other
motels, the Wharf Inn was very reasonable. It
is not fancy, nor does it have air
conditioning, but we found it to be very
comfortable using the ceiling fan. Features a
bed, small couch, chairs and table, coffee
table, desk with chair. Bathroom has shower
only, very roomy shower! We were very happy
with the room. Secure parking within the
compound. Walk to the end of the block and you
are at the Wharf's edge, Pier 39 close,
everything is only footsteps away from the
Wharf Inn. They are extremely helpful as well.
No coffee maker, but coffee in office, and 24
hr 7-11 across street, coffee houses and
McDonald's around the corner. We loved Wharf
Inn!

The Wharf Inn ROCKS! We stay there each year when we come to SF to see the Blue Angels. The location cannot be beat, there's free off-street parking and the staff is pleasant and accommodating. The rooms are nothing special, but they're clean and comfortable. The street show (watching people do what they do) in the evening is great entertainment in itself. Call this place a no-frills budget hotel. To me it's a hidden gem! Shhhhh!!

We just returned from our first ever visit to San Francisco. We chose the Wharf Inn because of it's location, and the fact that we were not looking for "frills". Our room was just fine, nothing fancy, but neat and clean. We were in the middle of everything we wanted to see and do, and rarely took out our rental car. One consierge, in particular, was a fantastic help with suggestions, directions, etc. He never steered us wrong! If we ever went back, we would stay here again!
