Near Pacific Heights Area: quoted $85 for October 1999 (+14% SF tax!)

J.R. writes in April 2000, "It was very noisy, older furnishings, dirty carpet but roomy and clean bathroom. The desk clerks' attitude and service leave a lot to be desired. The carpet was gross, but the bathroom was clean. The office person couldn't seem to take a phone message and was rude to the caller. This motel was the cheapest I had found in my search on the net. Otherwise, good location and free parking. Will try another place next time."

<editor> I stayed here, and it was tolerable -- clean, cable t.v., safe, free parking, good location-- safe but central. Minuses are street is relatively busy/ some car noise but not too bad. Don't expect much sightseeing help from the front desk or great service. It's a semi-clean room in a good location at a low price. Area is busy, but near Pacific Heights and major bus lines.

Not Recommended unless desperate.

A.P. adds in August 1999, "I found it noisy and did not like the looks of some of its non-tourist clientele. Nor did I find the desk clerk pleasant. But the location is not bad: easy transportation to either North Beach or to the Union St. shopping area."
