Think of the best cities in the United States to visit. San Francisco inevitably comes to mind for meeting planners and it will for conference attendees, too.
Why San Francisco?
San Francisco Hotel Availability Dates Optimal in 2016-2018
San Francisco is a powerful magnet for meetings of all sizes, from self-contained meetings based at one hotel to citywides utilizing multiple properties and The Moscone Center.

Wide-Ranging Appeal and Authentic Experiences
If there’s one trait that best defines San Francisco, it is diversity. Attendees can explore the city’s many unique neighborhoods, discover its historic and thriving LGBT community, and visit world-renowned art and cultural institutions. It’s all set among some of the most beautiful scenery in the nation, with the city’s natural and man-made landmarks all around you. San Francisco’s welcoming people, its unbeatable food scene, and its endless activity regularly lead to record-breaking meeting attendance.
It’s Easy to Get To (and Get Around)
San Francisco International Airport (SFO) offers non-stop flights to more than 39 international destinations on 30 international carriers. The Bay Area’s largest airport connects nonstop with 77 cities in the U.S. on 13 domestic airlines. Located just 14 miles south of the city, it is directly connected to downtown San Francisco by Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART). Once you’ve arrived, get out those walking shoes because San Francisco is ranked as one of the top walking cities in the U.S.
The Moscone Center: New Amenities, Great Location
Located just off I-80 and blocks from Union Square, the Moscone Center is about as central as it gets in San Francisco’s seven-by-seven grid. It’s walking distance to hotels, restaurants, museums, attractions, public transit and more.
Scheduled for completion in 2018, the Moscone Expansion will add more than 170,000 gross square feet of flexible meeting space to the Center, including a 50,000-square-foot ballroom. It will also add an enclosed pedestrian bridge connecting the North and South buildings above Howard Street.
Need an out-of-the-box idea? San Francisco and nearby regions offer more than 360 special event facilities and venues — nearly one for every day of the year.
