The Pac-12 Conference, comprising 12 of the most outstanding universities on the West Coast, is a collegiate athletic conference known as “The Conference of Champions®”.
The Pac-12 is built on a foundation of academic excellence and superior athletic performance. Its members have won a total of 497 NCAA national titles, by far the most of any conference in the country. The Pac-12’s success extends to the Olympics as well. Over the last two Summer Olympics, athletes from Pac-12 institutions won 44 gold medals: 19 in 2012 in London and 25 at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Pac-12 member universities strongly believe that academic and athletic excellence can and should go hand in hand. The most vital role of the Conference is to ensure that its 7,000 student-athletes have every possible opportunity to excel not only in their sport, but also on campus and in the classroom. Besides sponsoring 23 sports and putting on 15 championship events each year, the Pac-12 also works proactively to do what is best for student-athletes, from global exposure to academic opportunity.
The Pac-12 is also proud to provide student-athletes with unprecedented exposure on Pac-12 Networks, a media company wholly owned by the conference membership and dedicated to telling the amazing stories of Pac-12 student-athletes and universities across its platforms.
From high-level sports competition to transformative opportunities for student-athletes, exciting things are happening on Pac-12 campuses every day.
