San Francisco GiantsDon't miss a Memorable Giants Baseball Day
A world-class baseball experience... We highly recommend a visit to Pac Bell --> SBC --> AT&T Park, even if you aren't a baseball fan. We've compiled the 2007 San Francisco Giants Home baseball schedule to help you plan your visit. This stadium represents the best of baseball in the USA and features incredible views (and even a little baseball!) The stadium opened this year (2000) and has been practically sold out ever since. It is very difficult to purchase tickets to individual games, especially on weekends. Best ticket sources are Ebay and other auction sites, scalper websites, and the plaza just outside the stadium. On our visit, there were at least 100 individuals scalping tickets before the game. Although many of these scalpers are greedy professionals, others are just "regular joes" offloading some extra tickets. If you can bear the risk, day of game tickets are probably more reasonable that the intense competition we witnessed on Ebay. These games are POPULAR!
San Francisco Giants games - a great day out... You can bring food into the stadium, but no glass bottles or alcohol. Food in the stadium is VERY expensive. It is worth your while to bring in what you can. The stadium's food is far better than average with many special foods like garlic chicken and fries in addition to the normal ballpark hot dog fare. The food includes mexican food and many microbrews and drinks.
Willie Mays Statue at Giants Stadium Park Parking around the stadium is traffic clogged and expensive. It is highly worth your while to ride public transit to the stadium. Muni has created a streetcar line accessable from Embarcadero BART station which whisks you directly to the stadium. Here are the public transit details:
To sum up, try out a Giants game - it's great!
