Outdoor Art

Light art displays on the property draw tens of thousands of people to the gardens each year. Their most popular display, the light tunnel, has been refreshed this year, welcoming visitors old and young. Other luminous exhibits of warm fuchsia, gold, and crystal take inspiration from the beautiful surrounding landscape.

Santa Days

Snap a picture with St. Nick himself and enjoy the garden grounds on select days in December.

Private fire pit experiences

Beat the winter chill at the garden's fire pits, where you can enjoy a private bar for your group with unlimited beverages like mulled wine and hot cider. Enjoy proximity to the dining room terrace and indulge in a magical setting. Seating time slots are at 3 p.m., 5 p.m., and 7 p.m.

Holiday tea

Have a magical high-tea experience in Filoli's garden house, where nature and elegance meet. Sip tea and champagne and enjoy snacks like finger sandwiches and scones.

Take a house tour with the garden's curator

Wednesdays at 11 a.m., Explore the Filoli Garden House in all its winter grandeur and get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to decorate the space. You'll visit each room and even tour upstairs, where the magic happens.
