Taylor Swift at Madame Tussauds

Get Closer to the Stars at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum

Wax museum Madame Tussauds, part of the Merlin Entertainments family, is world-famous for fascinating millions through its fun and memorable experiences for visitors. Featuring incredibly life-like wax replications of iconic figures from the celebrity worlds of film, TV, music, sports and politics, Madame Tussauds offers a unique opportunity to "interact" with Francis Ford Coppola, Steven Spielberg, Tony Bennett, E.T., Barack Obama, Abraham Lincoln, and many more. With no ropes or barriers in each themed setting in this star-studded attraction, take pictures, touch and get up close and personal with your favorites!

Madame Tussauds has a history of more than 250 years. Honing her skills of model-making by making "death masks" while imprisoned during the French Revolution, Marie Grosholtz Tussaud eventually made her way to London to tour her figures. The first Madame Tussauds permanent location opened there on Marylebone Road in 1884, and still stands, surviving fire and World War II bombing. Currently there are 21 Madame Tussauds across the globe including San Francisco, the fifth location in the United States.

In addition to entertainment and political celebrities, Madame Tussauds San Francisco also features the city's and local area's most loved figures and landmarks in a special “Spirit of San Francisco” room, where the likes of Mark Zuckerberg and Harvey Milk are on display as well as Apple co-founder and Silicon Valley icon Steve Wozniak. And make sure to see NBA MVP Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors - a figure which took nearly four months to create - in the Sports Room alongside Gabby Douglas, Joe Montana, Tiger Woods and others. Installations throughout the galleries are constantly updated and rotated out, so there is often someone new to see and "meet" on every visit.

Newly installed is Taylor Swift, posed with replicas of her favorite feline companions Meredith and Olivia in support of cat rescue efforts. With a backdrop of her music videos in Madame Tussauds' interactive music zone alongside Rihanna, Lady Gaga and more, it's a perfect opportunity for a star-studded selfie. Play DJ, sing, and dance!

Located next to Madame Tussauds in historic Fisherman's Wharf is its sister attraction, The San Francisco Dungeon, captivating audiences with edgy humor and scary, fun antics through nine live actor shows recreating some of the city's darker moments of history.
