There will be several events in Golden Gate Park this summer.

The Summer of Festivals in San Francisco

It's almost summer, even if the fog is still rolling in. That means it's almost festival season in San Francisco, a season that was born out of the Summer of Love. Here's what you can't miss.

How Weird Street Faire

Join us as we gather the tribes once again to celebrate peace, dance in the streets, be inspired by art, shop exotic stores, make new friends and greet old ones, generate waves of joy, and expand our consciousness. Come celebrate ongoing historic countercultural gathering of How Weird.

Yerba Buena Gardens Festival

The Yerba Buena Gardens Festival presents classical, world, and jazz music, contemporary and traditional dance, theater, children’s and family programs, and cultural events reflecting the rich cultures and creativity of the region. Artistic excellence, inclusion, diversity and innovation are at the heart of their mission.

Carnaval San Francisco

Come celebrate with us at the annual Carnaval San Francisco! Watch a brilliant procession of participants, featuring beautifully adorned floats depicting rich multicultural themes and carrying performers who engage and entertain the crowds.

Union Street Music Festival

The historic Victorians make for an amazing backdrop on Union Street for some sun, fun and music during this two-day neighborhood festival.

Haight Ashbury Street Fair

Since 1978, the Haight Ashbury Street Fair has featured arts and crafts, food booths, three musical stages, a Family Area (Children's Alley) and more. It also serves as a means for community groups and mercantile vendors to interact with the public and expand their base.

San Francisco Pride

With over 200 parade contingents and exhibitors, and more than 20 community-run stages and venues, the San Francisco Pride Celebration and Parade is the largest gathering of the LGBTQ community and its allies in the nation. The Parade kicks off from Beale Street along Market and ends at Market and 8th Streets. Come in your most colorful and playful outfits!

Stern Grove Festival

Every year since 1938, Stern Grove Festival, an admission-free performing arts series, happens in Sigmund Stern Grove. This beautiful outdoor amphitheater is located at 19th Avenue and Sloat Boulevard in San Francisco.

Marin County Fair

Considered "the greenest county fair on earth," this fair has been a summer tradition for more than 75 years; rides, music, nightly fireworks and exhibits draw more than 120,000 annually.

Fillmore Jazz Festival

Blending art and soul in one of the country’s most unique neighborhoods, the Fillmore Jazz Festival is the largest free jazz festival on the West Coast, drawing over 100,000 visitors over the Independence Day weekend. From sunup to sundown, visitors can groove to the sounds of live music from multiple stages, browse the offerings of over 12 blocks of fine art and crafts and enjoy gourmet food and beverages. Asian to Cajun, paintings to pottery, old favorites and new directions--the Fillmore Jazz Festival is not to be missed.

Jerry Day

Jerry Day is a civic and cultural event that celebrates one of the greatest rock guitarists of all time and San Francisco native son, Jerry Garcia. This event captures the true spirit of Jerry Garcia as we celebrate his legacy, the Jerry Garcia Amphitheater, and recognize his roots in the Excelsior District of San Francisco. By uniting the diverse communities of San Francisco through Jerry’s music, we are creating something extraordinary for Jerry’s childhood neighborhood.

Outside Lands Music Festival

Outside Lands is a Bay Area celebration of music, food, wine, beer, art and comedy, taking place in beautiful Golden Gate Park. Past headliners at this festival have included Janet Jackson, Florence + The Machine, Sam Smith, and many others.

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass is a free gathering in Golden Gate Park, featuring over 100 musical artists that play bluegrass (or not), spanning seven stages. It's definitely an "Only in San Francisco" experience.
