In 2018, five days after turning 21, former world No.1 Lydia Ko hit one of the most memorable 3-wood shots to 2 feet for a tap-in eagle to defeat Minjee Lee on the first playoff hole to win the inaugural LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship in dramatic fashion. Named as "One of Golf's most memorable moments", it was certainly an emotional one for Lydia Ko. In 2019, the New Zealand native and honorary Lake Merced GC member will return to defend her title and add to her victories in 2014, ’15 & ’18. As the World's best return to Lake Merced Golf Club, don't miss the opportunity to cheer on your favorite LPGA player in an electric atmosphere at one of the most iconic golf clubs in the Bay Area!
