The city's first restaurant of its kind, Palm House offers an approachable menu of tropical comfort food with a California sensibility alongside inventive cocktails, all in a space inspired by turn of the century Victorian homes found throughout the British West Indies.
Foreign Cinema Executive Chef Gayle Pirie has designed a menu reflective of Palm House's culinary philosophy, combining the best of island spices and flavorings with the excellent seasonal produce and meats of northern California. Former Foreign Cinema Chef de Cuisine Lea Walker executes the menu on a daily basis. Bar Director Anthony Parks gives the bar program a unique twist with inventive and refreshing items such as punch bowls, cocktail slushies and other tropical flavored concoctions.
The space, designed by Shelly Amoroso is rich and warm with flawless mahogany and soft tropical tones running throughout the entire restaurant. A main focal point of the restaurant is an area called The Atrium. From the dramatic display of LED-lit vintage birdcages hung from the 35 foot ceilings to a large collection of Caribbean plants, The Atrium will give guests a true sense of being in the tropics.
