Visitors to San Francisco will have multiple opportunities to join the excitement of the FIFA World Cup this summer with a number of free, public watch parties across the city.
When and where are the FIFA World Cup watch parties?
Friday, June 12
Head to Thrive City at Chase Center to watch the U.S. play Paraguay. You can get there easily from downtown or Union Square by boarding the Muni Metro T Line.
You can also join The Big Gay Watch Party at Beaux in San Francisco's Castro, starting at 6:00 p.m. Join the camp, culture, and excitement by taking a historic streetcar from downtown.
Friday, June 19
Pride House SF will host a "Family Day" event at the watch party for the U.S. vs. Australia match, happening at The Crossing at East Cut, beginning at noon. Steps from Salesforce Park and the Ferry Building, this location is easy for visitors to access.
Thursday, June 25
Pride House SF will host a "Pride Watch Party," ahead of San Francisco's annual celebration, for the U.S. vs. Turkey match at Yerba Buena Lane, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Near SFMOMA and the Powell Street cable car turnaround, this location is a prime spot for visitors.
Sunday, July 19
Pride House SF will close out the FIFA World Cup excitement with its Final Watch Party at KQED's Headquarters, beginning at noon. The party is a short walk from the Mission, which offers visitors abundant choices for great food and drink.
How much do FIFA World Cup watch parties cost?
Nothing! These official watch parties are free and open to the public.
Where else can I watch the FIFA World Cup in San Francisco?
PIER 39 will be hosting "Soccer with the Sea Lions" watch parties for the duration of the tournament. (We can't promise that Chonkers will be attendance...)
Games will be televised for the public at the Presidio Main Lawn and at SPARK Social.
Gold Bar Distillery on Treasure Island will be hosting a series of watch parties between June 19 and 27, featuring a giant outdoor LED screen, food vendors, beer and cocktails, live entertainment, giveaways, and panoramic views of the San Francisco skyline and Bay Bridge.
