Chinese New Year Parade

San Francisco hosts the biggest Lunar New Year celebrations in the country, culminating with the Chinese New Year Parade on Saturday, March 7. Tickets for the grandstand are available and in demand!

Downtown First Thursdays

Second Street (between Market and Howard Streets)

DFT is a free monthly street party hosted in Downtown San Francisco, taking place every first Thursday of the month from 5 to 10 p.m. Get ready for disco in the streets, DJs, live music, drag, martial arts, fashion, street performances, and many other surprises! The fun takes place on Second Street (between Market and Howard Street) and along neighboring alleyways ready for you to explore. The event will also feature two 21+ outdoor bars on Minna and Natoma.

Flower Bulb Day

Union Square 

Flower Bulb Day is coming! On March 21, a colorful display of more than 80,000 tulips will cover Union Square in Downtown SF. You are invited to visit the square and pick your own bunch of tulips. Flower power! 

Free Programs in Union Square Plaza

Union Square

Every week, you can enjoy a variety of free activities in the middle of Union Square. From chess lessons and live music to crafting activities and juggling demonstrations, these programs are perfect for visitors of all ages. Be sure to stop by every second Saturday for special cultural activities, showcasing the diversity of San Francisco. 

 

KNBR/Giants FanFest

Oracle Park

On March 14, fans can participate in an array of interactive games and displays on the Field, Promenade, and Club levels at the KNBR & Giants FanFest. Members of the Giants team will be on hand to sign autographs, pose for photos and participate in Q&A sessions. FanFest is free and open to the public.

SOMA Nights

Folsom Street

SOMA Nights is a lively monthly festival transforming Folsom Street (between 6th and 12th streets) into a vibrant hub of art, food, and culture. From 7th to 8th Street, explore alleys and storefronts, live music, performances, delicious food, and unique pop-ups. As the night unfolds, 9th to 12th Streets comes alive with energetic clubs, keeping the party going after hours.

Sonoma International Film Festival

St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Second and Market streets to Civic Center

One of San Francisco's largest annual parades and one of the longest-running parades in the U.S. is celebrated with live music, dance, beverages and traditional Irish cuisine. The parade will take place Saturday, March 14 and begin on the corner of Second and Market streets.
