Looking for additional exposure to key customer groups for your business? Qualifying(*) San Francisco Travel members are welcome to participate in our welcome programs for meeting planners, tour operators, and travel media. By providing San Francisco Travel with vouchers or tickets to distribute to key audiences, you can amplify your business to these markets.
Individual departmental program details:
Our Convention Services team works directly with meeting planners coming into the city for advance event location scouting, event planning, and general logistics. These meeting planners are in a position to refer your products or venues to the thousands of attendees who will be traveling to San Francisco for their respective meetings or conferences.
Complimentary/donated tickets or vouchers from participating members at the *Convention or All Access level of benefits, or above, will be used in a “VIP Welcome Pack” for meeting planners to experience key member products or attractions during their visit.
How to Work With Meeting Planners
Members who wish to be included in the “VIP Welcome Pack” are requested to supply Convention Services with 200 tickets/vouchers in envelopes (2 tickets/vouchers per envelope). It is advised to also supply your group/meeting contact information (such as a business card) for potential direct follow-up from meeting planners. Should your tickets/vouchers need to carry an expiration date, please ensure at least a year's validity from distribution.
Convention Services will document all distribution of tickets/vouchers and report to participating members at fiscal year’s end. The team will also continue to actively make personal introductions to members as needed to those meeting planners who want to set potential opportunities prior to their meeting or conference dates.

Tourism & Travel Trade
SF Travel's Global Tourism department works with our international offices on outreach and promotion to tour operators and travel professionals around the world, often through familiarization visits to San Francisco. These 'FAM' groups are hosted by Tourism throughout the year to showcase the area, with a schedule of key attraction stops included to educate FAM participants on visitation opportunities in the city.
FAM groups usually vary in size from 10 - 50 participants. On occasion, Tourism receives "Super FAMs", with up to 150 participants.
How to Work With Tourism & Travel Trade
Tourism collects donated vouchers and discounted ticket access for use on such FAM's, with tracking and reporting made available to included members. Members at our *All Access level that would like for Tourism to include your business as a stop or experience, and receive international brand awareness with participation, should contact either Emily Sandel at firstname.lastname@example.org, or Jane Kim at email@example.com.

Our experienced Media Relations team works with travel media from around the world, positioning San Francisco and its attractions as the must-cover destination. The team assists and hosts media coming in groups or individually to research stories for websites, magazines, newspapers, blogs, guidebooks, and other outlets. Although we can't guarantee specific results, putting a voucher, ticket, or letter of invitation in media Welcome Packs represents a great opportunity to generate media coverage for your business.
How to Work With Media Relations
Media vouchers must include space for the media representative to provide their contact information. The offer must be for a complimentary experience, not a discount. When the media rep redeems the voucher at your business, you will then have the opportunity to follow-up directly with them.
Members at our *All Access level that would like to provide vouchers for visiting media should submit the design for review. Once approved, our Media Relations team will ask you to send it as a .pdf, and will print copies as needed.
