San Francisco experiences no damage in Napa earthquake

August 25, 2014 — The San Francisco Travel Association expresses their support for those affected by the earthquake that occurred at 3:20 am on Aug. 24, 2014.

The epicenter was approximately 35 miles from San Francisco, near the town of American Canyon. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reports a magnitude of 6.0.

Damage to some buildings and roads in Napa, 47 miles from San Francisco, has been reported.

There were no damages within the city of San Francisco. Moscone Center and all of San Francisco's hotels, businesses and transportation systems are open and operating as usual.
