San Francisco Travel Unveils Trip Planning Technology Powered by Utrip, Just in Time for Game Week

Utrip PRO helps visitors discover what to do and see in San Francisco based on their unique interests and budget

January 21, 2016 - The San Francisco Travel Association, an internationally renowned leader in destination marketing, has unveiled a new artificial intelligence-based trip planning platform, powered by Utrip PRO. Just in time for Super Bowl 50 on Feb. 7, 2016, the free trip planner enables area visitors and locals alike to create personalized itineraries that include San Francisco attractions, restaurants, lodging, nightlife and activities, served up based on the individual visitor’s interests and budget. San Francisco's visitors are able to access the Utrip trip planner on the San Francisco Travel Association’s website:

The San Francisco Travel Association completely redesigned their website in 2014, earning the organization a Gold Adrian Award from the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) and a Webby Award finalist.  Adding Utrip shows their continued efforts to bring in the latest technology to evolve their website experience and inspire travelers. The Utrip trip planner combines recent advancements in artificial intelligence algorithms with the expertise of San Francisco locals in order to create trip plans that are optimized for geography, seasonality, special events and hours of operation.

Well-known for its cultural attractions, diverse cuisine and communities, and beautiful sights and scenery, San Francisco has something for everyone.

“A city steeped in history, yet driven by innovation, San Francisco presents a wealth of sights, sounds and tastes,” said Gilad Berenstein, founder and chief executive officer of Utrip, “Utrip will help visitors discover the best in San Francisco specifically for them, to ensure a unique experience and a deeper connection with the city.”

"We are proud to partner with this new innovation to help visitors make the most of their time in San Francisco," said Joe D’Alessandro, San Francisco Travel’s president and CEO. “With Utrip, we can offer visitors an intelligent and intuitive platform, using advanced technology, to empower them to discover our dynamic city.”
