San Francisco Martini Trail Shakes Things Up With Two New People's Choice Bar Additions
The popular trail now features 25 iconic martini spots, inviting visitors to discover even more of San Francisco's legendary cocktail culture
SAN FRANCISCO, CA [June 18, 2026] — The San Francisco Travel Association today expanded their newly crafted San Francisco Martini Trail, adding two new bars to the celebrated collection of destinations serving some of the city's most exceptional martinis. Following a multi-month public vote, Bar Sprezzatura and Fog Harbor Fish House were named 2026 People’s Choice award winners, each earning a spot on the trail. The trail now features 25 curated stops spanning San Francisco's vibrant neighborhoods and renowned cocktail scene.
Since its launch in 2025, the San Francisco Martini Trail has celebrated the city's enduring connection to one of the world's most iconic cocktails. While the martini's origins continue to inspire debate, San Francisco remains central to its legacy—from the Gold Rush era through today's award-winning bars, where the cocktail continues to evolve in the hands of innovative bartenders.
"The celebrated response to the Martini Trail has reaffirmed what locals have always known— that San Francisco is one of the world's greatest cocktail cities," said Anna Marie Presutti, President and CEO of San Francisco Travel. "By expanding the trail with our two People’s Choice award winners, we're giving visitors and residents even more reasons to explore our neighborhoods, support local businesses and experience the creativity that defines San Francisco's lively bar scene."
Joining the trail are two top-notch bars that were nominated by the public and competed against 130 local bars with over 5,500 total votes cast in the final round.
BAR SPREZZATURA
Located in the heart of the Financial District, Bar Sprezzatura has made the martini a cornerstone of its menu. By day, the restaurant serves as a bustling lunch destination before transitioning into an aperitivo and cicchetti bar in the evening. Led by mixologist Carlo Splendorini, the cocktail program offers inventive interpretations of Italian classics, with a range of martinis tailored to every preference. The standout is the signature Memoria Liquida Martini, crafted with Engine Gin, Guaco Camomilla grappa, Vicario olive leaf liqueur, and finished with a parmesan-and-truffle cracker alongside citrus balsamic and aged balsamic pearls.
"We're incredibly honored to officially land a spot on the SF Martini Trail through the People's Choice Awards. This recognition belongs to our amazing team and to everyone who voted and shows up for us, again and again. We're proud to represent San Francisco's cocktail scene and can't wait to welcome even more people to our bar," said Carlo Splendorini, partner and mixologist at Bar Sprezzatura. "And since we just launched a brand new martini menu, now's the perfect time to come raise a glass with us!"
FOG HARBOR FISH HOUSE
Family-owned and operated, Fog Harbor Fish House has been serving 100% sustainable seafood for nearly two decades from its iconic Fisherman's Wharf location. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame sweeping views of some of San Francisco's most recognizable landmarks, including Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge, creating an unforgettable backdrop for a classic cocktail. Their Ultimate Dirty Martini pairs SKYY Vodka with olive juice and is garnished with a bleu cheese-stuffed olive and a cocktail onion—a perfectly savory sip to enjoy with one of the city's most spectacular waterfront views.
"We are so honored to have been voted onto the San Francisco Martini Trail," said Bob Partrite, COO of Fog Harbor Fish House. “At Fog Harbor, we believe the best martinis come with a little fog. Our Ultimate Dirty Martini, garnished with a blue cheese olive, is as iconic as the San Francisco skyline, especially when paired with our panoramic, million-dollar Bay views.”
