San Francisco Travel Honors NeighborWorks America with 2023 Crystal Bridge Award
Now in its 13th year, the Crystal Bridge award recognizes the city’s most influential and impactful meeting and convention customers
San Francisco (Oct. 30, 2023) – Today, the San Francisco Travel Association presented the 2023 Crystal Bridge award to NeighborWorks America at the organization’s annual sales mission in Washington, D.C.
Inaugurated in 2010 as part of San Francisco Travel’s centennial celebration, the Crystal Bridge award is presented each year to honor influential customers that bring outstanding events and generate significant impact to San Francico.
NeighborWorks America, a nonprofit that creates opportunities for people to live in affordable homes, held three meetings at the Hilton Union Square in San Francisco within a 10-month period. As part of the organization’s NeighborWorks Training Institute (NTI), these meetings engaged with their network and the local San Francisco community, sharing tools and training to empower participants to provide their communities with affordable housing, financial counseling, and training in the areas of health, employment and education. Beyond the community impact, NeighborWorks’ presence in San Francisco added more than $4.7 million to the city’s economy.

NeighborWorks is the first self-contained group to receive the award. Previous award winners include J.P. Morgan, Cardiovascular Research Foundation, Salesforce.com, and Oracle.
