The San Francisco Visitor Center Will Call Moscone Center Home
Starting Jan. 23, 2019, the San Francisco Visitor Information Center (VIC) will call the Moscone Center home. The VIC will open in its new home inside The Moscone Center at 749 Howard St. near Fourth St. one day before the celebration of the completion of the $551 million Moscone Center expansion.
The new location will give San Francisco a modern, high tech, state-of-the-art facility with a very "San Francisco" atmosphere in which to meet and serve visitors, giving them a better experience. The location also provides easy access for our convention guests, while still being within walking distance of major hotels, restaurants, museums, and transportation—including the upcoming Central Subway station at Folsom and Fourth Streets.
The Visitor Information Center will continue to have the same operating hours, with the flexibility to extend hours to accommodate convention groups meeting at The Moscone Center.
9 a.m.–5 p.m. (Monday–Friday)
9 a.m.–3 p.m. (Weekends and Holidays) *
*This location will open from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. on weekends when a convention is in progress. To view our convention calendar for expanded hours Click Here
In addition to visitor guides, maps and brochures, the Visitor Information Center sells the San Francisco CityPASS, Muni 1-, 3- and 7-Day Passports, cable car tickets, the Explorer Pass, Muni maps and hop-on-hop-off bus tickets. The multilingual staff, which speaks a total of 14 languages, also offers tips on public transit, trip planning, tours of the city, wine country, Yosemite and the region as well as hotel and restaurant reservations.
NOTE: The current location on the lower level of Hallidie Plaza (900 Market St. at the corner of Powell and Market streets) will close on Dec. 21, 2018.
