What is Tourism Gives Back?
Successfully promoting San Francisco as a destination means doing our part to enhance the city's communities for everyone. Tourism Gives Back is an industry-led volunteer program, allowing San Francisco Travel staff and partners to learn about and act on the issues affecting the visitor experience.
Past San Francisco Travel volunteer events have supported Project Homeless Connect, Hamilton Families, the Recreation and Parks Department, and others.
Upcoming events include:
- Friday, May 10, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.: Park Beautification at Alamo Square Park
The San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department maintains beautiful parks and preserves the environment for the well-being of our residents and visitors. A park beautification volunteer event will engage staff and partners to improve this park frequented by visitors. More information and volunteer registration here.
- Wednesday, June 12, 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.: Tourism & Hospitality Clean-Up Day
In partnership with the Hotel Council, Department of Public Works, and the Mayor's Office, San Francisco Travel will work on a street clean-up event for popular visitor areas. The day will begin at Embarcadero Plaza with Mayor London Breed. More information and registration here.
