How to Experience the Magic of "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" at San Francisco's Curran

It's one of the hottest tickets in theater history, and San Francisco is the only place in the United States (outside of New York City) where you can see it. It's Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and it's returning to the Curran in 2022.

We've broken down everything you need to know to take part in this one-of-a-kind theatrical experience, from how to purchase tickets to where to stay in the neighborhood. Grab your wand and Quidditch broom and get ready to re-enter the world of Harry Potter.

What is Harry Potter and the Cursed Child?

An original story conceived by playwright Jack Thorne, director John Tiffany, and J.K. Rowling herself, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the first and only official Harry Potter tale presented live on stage. It has been seen by more than 4.5 million people worldwide and has earned dozens of major awards.

Nearly 20 years after the defeat of Lord Voldemort at the end of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," fan favorites Harry, Ron, and Hermione return for an all-new adventure in the wizarding world that sees a new generation of heroes arise. Spectacular spells, time travel, and more surprises wait around every turn.

When can I see it?

Performances in San Francisco resume on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022. The current show schedule features evening performances only on weekdays, with matinee (1 p.m.) and evening (7 p.m.) performances on Saturdays and Sundays. There are no performances on Mondays.

Originally developed as a two-part event, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child returns as a newly staged, one-show magical adventure.

How do I get tickets?
