The Sports Business Journal named the San Francisco Bay Area as "Sports City of the Decade". Here, baseball and basketball are only the start. San Francisco has hosted ticker tape Championship parades, international rugby tournaments, world-class sailing events, PGA and LPGA Majors, high-stakes NCAA basketball and worldwide esports events.

Just outside city limits the illustrious San Francisco 49ers play NFL games at their state-of-the-art home, Levi's Stadium, in Santa Clara and the San Jose Sharks play professional NHL hockey at SAP Center.

You can compete in San Francisco, too! Whether it's something fun like Bay to Breakers or The Giant Race or something more challenging like the Escape from Alcatraz triathlon, adventure-seeking travelers will find no shortage of opportunities on their next visit to San Francisco.
