The Giant Race at Oracle Park

The Giant Race at Oracle Park

The Giant Race Run/Walk Series Presented by Alaska Airlines represents the perfect combination of running and baseball. With annual events held in Scottsdale, Sacramento, San Jose and San Francisco, the Series offers Giants fans fun and competitive opportunities at every level of professional baseball. The Series begins in Scottsdale during Spring Training, continues at Minor League facilities in Sacramento and San Jose, and ends on the field at Oracle Park with a 20,000-participant race on the flattest and fastest course in San Francisco.

Now in its 11th year in 2020, The San Francisco Giant Race has quickly become a city tradition alongside the city's other signature races, such as the Bay to Breakers 12K, and the San Francisco Marathon.

In conjunction with the four upcoming races, the Giant Race is also launching the PAC-MAN 40th Anniversary Virtual Challenge. Participants can “Join the PAC” by registering and running a total of 40 miles between the first Giant Race in Scottsdale on Feb. 29 and the San Francisco Giant Race on Sept. 6. Participants can do their best PAC-MAN impression by walking, jogging or running on their own time, anywhere in the world, and receive a limited edition PAC-MAN 40th Anniversary Race Kit, featuring a commemorative medal, race bib, and finisher sticker. Registration details will be posted soon at giantrace.com.

Participants and non-runners alike can enjoy this annual event by attending the Giant Race Health & Fitness Expo, where live music, entertainment and food will be alongside vendor booths inside Oracle Park. The Expo is open on Friday, Sept. 4 from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 5 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Please enter at the Lefty O’Doul Gate, right next to the 3rd Street Bridge.
