Professional Golf Returns to the San Francisco Area with the LPGA Mediheal Championship

The only professional women's sporting event in the Bay Area, the LPGA Mediheal Championship brings 144 of the world's best LPGA golfers to the Bay Area's historic Lake Merced Golf Club from Apr. 27 to May 3, 2020. Players will compete for a $1.8 million dollar purse in this second annual official LPGA professional golf competition. Tickets are available online now.

Event Information

Competition begins on Thursday, April 30 with the first round tee off at 7:15 a.m. The field will be reduced to the top 70 after 36 holes (Thursday and Friday rounds), with the final 36 holes played Saturday and Sunday. Live coverage will be provided daily on The Golf Channel.

Sei Young Kim of South Korea is the defending champion, having won after a thrilling playoff hole win over Englishwoman Bronte Law and fellow Korean Jeongeun Lee, and is expected to return to the field. The complete tournament field and pairings will be available online as the event approaches.

Course Information

The Lake Merced Golf Club, located in Daly City just south of the city of San Francisco, was built in 1922. In its history, it has hosted the California State Amateur Championships, the NCAA West Regional Championship, and the 2012 U.S. Girls' Junior Championship. Prior to the LPGA Mediheal Championship in 2018, Lake Merced hosted the Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic from 2014 to 2016.

Ticket Information

Grounds Passes are available daily or for the week, starting at $20. Children aged 17 and under receive free admission with a ticketed adult. Active military members and veterans and their families are eligible for free daily passes with valid military ID to redeem in-person at the event's box office.

Tickets to the 18th green Skybox are also available, and include light snacks and beverages. Children aged 12 and under receive free admission with a ticketed adult.
