Humphry Slocombe at Asian Art Museum's Cafe Asia

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Asian Art Museum, reknowned San Francisco ice cream maker Humphry Slocombe has created a new limited-edition flavor: Adzuki Almond Cookie. Offered exclusively at the museum's Cafe Asia, this new flavor evokes a classic Chinese almond cookie, with heritage adzuki beans from Bob's Red Mill. The result is an unexpected sweet and savory taste, with almonds that are 'lightly frosted' with egg yolk and sugar in preparation. Made by hand and by batch, the ice cream is chef Jake Godby's unique twist on the classic pastry bean taste.

Sound enticing? Head over to Cafe Asia* and sample a scoop for yourself. At $5 for a half pint, the price is pretty irresistible too. Share with a friend or indulge on your own!
