Stern Grove Festival presents 10 admission-free concerts featuring world-renowned artists in a stunning outdoor amphitheater surrounded by eucalyptus and redwood trees. Offering a mix of concerts as diverse as the city it calls home, Stern Grove Festival has been a San Francisco tradition for more than seven decades. From the San Francisco Symphony to indie rock, folk, hip-hop, Latin, and more, there's something for everyone at Stern Grove Festival, and it's all admission free!
Where is it? Stern Grove Festival takes place in Sigmund Stern Grove, a public park located at 19th Avenue and Sloat Boulevard. There is no public parking at Stern Grove Festival. Visitors are encouraged to use public transportation (the MUNI Metro K and M lines stop a block away from the park).
When is it? Stern Grove Festival's concerts take place on Sundays at 2 p.m. from mid-June to mid-August, every summer. The Festival's line-up is announced on May 1 at www.sterngrove.org.
What do I need to know? Seating at Stern Grove Festival is first-come, first served. Bring a picnic, grab a bottle of wine, and come early for the best seating.
