The Moscone Center is a world-class meeting and event space. While parts of The Moscone Center itself are closed during its major expansion, there are still plenty of exciting places to eat and drink in the surrounding neighborhood. 

Whether you're in town for business or a local looking for your new favorite place, these restaurants and bars are open for business and ready to serve you.

Great places to eat near The Moscone Center

Jillian's @ Metreon

Jillian's is a popular restaurant for diners who want a good meal and some time to relax after a long day. The restaurant itself is quite large, with more than 12,000 square feet of space. Jillian's also features 10 billiards tables and a patio for enjoying the San Francisco evening.

Fogo De Chao

Whether you're looking for a nice dinner or want to host a private event, Fogo De Chao can accommodate. Fogo De Chao has large reception rooms, smaller rooms, and even private tables near the main dining area, if the energy and action of the restaurant is your preference. ThirstyBear Brewing Company

ThirstyBear is a hub of noise and excitement. Located close to The Moscone Center, ThirstyBear is a popular option for attendees and locals who want a delicious glass of craft beer. Known for their use of organic ingredients and Spanish influence, ThirstyBear is a unique brewery that is certainly worth a visit.

Wine Down

Located just a few minutes from The Moscone Center, Wine Down is a relaxing place to unwind after a long day. Featuring a healthy variety of California-grown wines, as well as several food options, Wine Down is a low-key place to spend some time.

The Grand

The Grand is an energetic bar and club with uplifting music and several sections to explore. The Grand is also perfect for private events, and their kitchen offers a considerable menu.


If you prefer more of a laid-back lounge environment, Verso is worth a trip. While Verso specializes in special and private events, anyone is welcome to the public parts of the popular lounge.

Press Club

For wine lovers, Press Club is perhaps the most important stop on a visit to the neighborhood. Featuring wine from several Napa Valley wineries, as well as numerous other varietals, Press Club is a great place to enjoy some classic and difficult to find wines.



If you love books, you absolutely must make it to Novela during your visit. Located in the heart of Yerba Buena, Novela serves up unique and delicious cocktails in an environment that feels like an upscale study.

The View

As the name suggests, The View offers truly breathtaking sights. Housed on the 39th floor of the Marriott Marquis, The View offers a perspective on San Francisco that's difficult to find anywhere else. That, combined with their fantastic cocktails, makes it a must on any San Francisco Bar list.
