Sing Along to "Bohemian Rhapsody" at Oracle Park's Movie Night
Academy Award-winning film "Bohemian Rhapsody" comes to Oracle Park in a special sing-along movie night on July 13, 2019. Bring your friends and your best Freddie Mercury costumes, and get ready to rock the ballpark.
"Bohemian Rhapsody" (2018, PG-13) is a foot-stomping celebration of the iconic rock band Queen, their music, and their extraordinary lead singer, Freddie Mercury, who defied stereotypes and convention to become a beloved entertainer. The film traces the meteoric rise of the band from their iconic songs and revolutionary sound through their triumphant reunion for Live Aid.
This "Bohemian Rhapsody" (Sing-Along) Movie Night is the first-ever non-game day public movie night at the ballpark. The event will be screened on the ballpark's brand-new 4K scoreboard. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy this special cut of the film on the largest video board in California, 45% larger than San Francisco's biggest movie theater.
The evening's program will also include a pre-show performance by The Killer Queens, the world's only—and San Francisco's own—all-female tribute to Queen. A brief fireworks show is planned for during the film's credits to close the evening.
Guests will also receive a souvenir paper crown and mustache upon entry, and prizes will be awarded to select individuals wearing their best Freddie Mercury costumes.
General Admission tickets are priced at $15 each, and will go on sale online here on Wed., June 12 at 12 p.m. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to the San Francisco AIDS Foundation.
Oracle Park's Movie Night is produced in part by Giants Enterprises, the San Francisco Giants' hospitality and event consultancy team. Giants Enterprises hosts one-of-a-kind experiences at Oracle Park and its facilities, including the annual signature Giant Race, custom private events, and last year's Rugby World Cup Sevens.
If you enjoy even more baseball with your movies, make sure to catch "Top Gun" following the 1:05 p.m. game agaist the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday, July 7. This special event is part of the Giants' Special Event series for the 2019 season.
