Celebrate the Holidays at The Walt Disney Family Museum with a Special Double Feature

In conjunction with The Walt Disney Family Museum's presentation of "Mickey Mouse: From Walt to the World," the museum presents a special holiday-themed double-screening this season.

In "Christmas with Walt Disney" (2009), directed by Don Hahn and produced exclusively for the museum, Diane Disney Miller shares stories of how Walt spent the holidays, both at work and at home with his family. This sentimental behind-the-scenes peek includes family home videos alongside seasonal clips from Walt’s television series.

Paired alongside "Christmas with Walt Disney" is the holiday classic, "Mickey’s Christmas Carol" (1983), a re-imagining of Charles Dickens’ classic tale "A Christmas Carol".  The story is told in true Disney fashion, with the help of some familiar faces, including Mickey Mouse as Bob Cratchit, Jiminy Cricket as the Ghost of Christmas Past, and Scrooge McDuck in his namesake role as the irascible Ebenezer Scrooge.

The double feature, with a total screen time of 94 minutes, will show daily at 1 p.m. from Sunday, Dec. 1 through Monday, Dec. 30. Please note: there will be no screenings on Saturdays, Dec. 7 and 14, or Wednesday, Dec. 25. Screenings are free for museum members, or $5 with general admission or as a member guest. Non-member guests not visiting the museum with general admission can purchase tickets for $10 ($8 for student or youth).

All film tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis and must be purchased in-person at the Ticket Desk on the day of your visit, separately from general admission. Schedule subject to change.

"Mickey Mouse: From Walt to the World"

In support of the museum's 10th anniversary in 2019, this original and exclusive exhibit is a celebration of animation's most beloved and recognizable character, and a must-see for fans of animation, Walt Disney, Mickey Mouse, and entertainment history. Chronicling Mickey's impact and influence on art and entertainment over the past nine decades and in context with Walt Disney's own inspiring and parallel story, Mickey Mouse tells the story of his origin, rise to fame, and enduring world-wide appeal.

"Mickey Mouse: From Walt to the World" is on view in the museum's Diane Disney Miller Exhibition Hall through Feb. 17, 2020, and is a great holiday season activity for the family. Tickets for this special exhibition can be purchased on-site or online at
