Everything You Need to Know About the 2019-20 Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors are back on the hardwood and in the hunt for their fourth title in six years. In addition to the new players they've acquired for the 2019-2020 season, this season also marks the inaugural year of the brand new Chase Center.

Here's everything you need to know to be a Warriors superfan this season.

Familiar Faces and New Additions

All your favorite players are back again. Two-time NBA MVP Steph Curry will be leading the Warriors, alongside his Splash Brother, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, the former Defensive Player of the Year. The Warriors acquired Jordan Poole, Eric Paschall, Alen Smailagic, and D'Angelo Russell in this year's NBA Draft.

Behind the Scenes

The Warriors' President and CEO is Rick Welts. You might not know it, but Welts has probably done more to shape the NBA you know and love than anyone. Did you know that it was Welts who came up with the idea for taking the one-night All-Star Game and turning it into the multi-event All-Star Weekend? Welts has also been a leading voice for diversity in the NBA, as the first openly gay executive in the league. He's been a terrific ambassador for San Francisco and has plenty of suggestions for what you should do when you visit.

In the Stands

Warriors pride courses through the entire Bay Area, with fans all the way from Vallejo to Palo Alto. Wherever you go in San Francisco, you can find top-notch bars and restaurants where every game of the Warriors' next run for the championship will be shown. You can even toast Steph Curry's success with some curry-inspired dishes.

First Season at Chase Center

This year, the Warriors will kick off the 2019-20 season at the brand new Chase Center. This new sports and entertainment venue in Mission Bay boasts an impressive seating capacity of 18,064 and the largest scoreboard in the NBA. The Chase Center is located in the middle of "Thrive City", an 11-acre neighborhood that includes restaurants and shops for a perfect pre- and post-event experience.

So let's get ready, fans! It's time to paint the city blue and gold and join the #DubNation.
