San Francisco Frequently Asked Questions: Where Can I Get Breakfast in San Francisco?
Where Can I Get Breakfast in San Francisco? Zherr-Anne from the San Francisco Visitor Information Center answers this week's question.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and there's no place with more choices to start your day off right than San Francisco. Yes, locals are serious about breakfast and brunch. Luckily, there are plenty of restaurants in every neighborhood that cater to them, whether it's simply coffee or more filling options like eggs benedict. Whatever you're in the mood for, be prepared to wait. There will be lines.
There are so many coffee shops packed into our 49 square miles. Our favorites include Blue Bottle, Fourbarrel, Sightglass and Coffee Bar.
If you find yourself in the Mission, head to either Tartine Bakery for the morning buns or Dynamo Donuts for their maple bacon donut. Nob Hill is another neighborhood where the baked goods are sweet. Check out Flour & Co or Mr. Holmes Bakehouse (for their sweet cruffin).
For a truly "only in San Francisco" culinary experience, head to these restaurants for brunch:
- Foreign Cinema
- Dottie's True Blue Cafe
- Brenda's Soul Food
The next time you have a hankering for brunch, you know where to go. Stay tuned for next week's SF FAQ.
